Refrigeration: Store your shrimp in the refrigerator to keep the, at the optimal temperature for freshness.
Sealed Bag: Always keep your shrimp in a sealed bag "the one the shrimp come in is sufficient".
Quality Check: If you're unsure about the freshness of your shrimp, perform a simple sniff test, Open the bag and check for a strong ammonia smell. If you detect a strong ammonia odder, the shrimp may no longer be suitable for consumption.
Freshness Priority: Never frozen shrimp should be consumed within 3 days of purchase for the best taste and quality.
Head Removal: If you remove the head of the shrimp, you can extend the shelf life to 5 days after purchase.
Freezing Option: If you wish to extend the shelf life, you can freeze the shrimp whole or head removed. However, please note that this will lower the quality and texture of the meat. Frozen shrimp can be stored for 6-7 weeks.
